BIOGRAPHY

 

Juls Gabs is a London-based artist with a multidisciplinary approach that includes Painting, Augmented Reality,  Social Media art, and NFT. Graduated with Honours in Fine Arts and Media in  2015. Claims that the real education began after school through collaborations, art residencies and studio practice.

 

Currently collaborating with Mmad_art (London) and Onstream Gallery (Italy)

 

In 2022 has been selected for  Vertical Crypto Art Residency (international), Watou Festival (Belgium), and European Digital Art Fair (Europe). Solo exhibitions such as Blending Boundaries with Onstream Gallery (international), Augmented Reality “Reimagine Newham” with De/Konzept (London) and “Resume Rhizone” at V’O Curations (London).

 

Previous solo exhibitions such as "error" (London, 2020), a virtual reality project for Unit 1 Gallery Workshop, Daring Forest (Madrid, 2018), and Goodies Boobies (Madrid, 2018).

 

Selected for The Columbia Residency with Roman Road Gallery (London 2021) and Sommer Atelier Aschersleben, Germany 2021), Unit 1 Radical Residency® IV (London, 2019) and Paradise AIR for solo Art Residency (Tokyo, 2018). Exhibited works in art fairs such as SCOPE (Miami, 2018) and JustMad8 (Madrid, 2017)

 

Co-Founder of VANILLATRON (Tech-Sound Performance group). Invited to perform at SLADE School of Art (London, 2017) and Goldsmiths Performance Exchange (2018, London). Short-listed for Music Hackspace in Somerset House (London, 2018), Smylife Collection Beauty Art V Edition at the Thyssen Museum in Madrid.

 

In 2019 she won the Mayte Spinola Artist Revelation Prize and in 2014  was awarded at European Research of New Creative Spaces.

Her work constitutes part of Private Permanent Collections such as Lycee Moliere (Brussels, Belgium), Merode’s Castle (Gmünd, Austria), Palast Hohenems (Austria) Milton Keynes Arts Center (Milton Keynes, UK), Contemporary Museum Mayte Spinola (Marmolejo, Spain).

 

Her work has been published in media channels like Aston Martin F1FAD Magazine, London Arts EventsAssemblage MagazineIMAGE.ie (2020) and ArteinformadoULTIMA HORA MALLORCA (2019).
